Then there's the presentation with the incredible work done by ocean group, and the music is some of the best in the series with Burning Rooster's, Avalanche Yeti's, Gravity Antonion's, and of course, Jacob Elevator's, being my favorites. The mavericks also have far cooler looks, and actually put up unique fights whereas in those games, they just kind of all blend together. I like the gimmicks, unlike in games such as X5, X6, and X7 where they're just time wasters, and the level design is far more interesting, and that goes double for the improved vehicle stages. I replayed X8 (and X5) over the last two days, and it just reconfirmed to me just how good X8 is.

I know a ton of folks complained about lag for the first 3 games, but with me, it seems like the 32 bit Xs (x4-6) has it the worst. X8 was a bit easier for me this time around (though I forget a ton of those power ups for X, Zero, and Axl) Granted, it's not the best Megaman experience, but after going through X6, I'll give Infaune and crew props for trying something different, at least.
X6 was the worst of the bunch for me (I'll admit, the music was awesome, though I miss Moonlight and the Answer), but Gate's battle was a nightmare. I mean, it's been nearly 10-15 years since the last time I played those last 4 games, but turns out that I missed a ton of hidden stuff in X5 (I had to redo the game 3 times because the "8 parts" thingie kept glitching out at seven).
